In May 2020, the Society began a project with funding support from the Briggs Foundation to engage Scranton Times-Tribune photojournalist Jake Danna Stevens and a group of local high school students to document our communities in quarantine. The goal of the project, "Every Picture Tells a Story," was to boost the students' photography skills while giving them a chance to document this historic period and create a visual archive of the pandemic. To showcase the photos from the project, we will host a virtual party to introduce the students and view their work. Join us on Sunday, February 14 (Valentine's Day) at 1 pm to meet some of the students, see their photos and view a short video documenting our project to register email lackawannahistory@gmail.com or view Live on Facebook Sunday Feb 14th.
