The HallThe hall is considered the main greeting room of the home. It is twice the size of the other first floor rooms and would have traditionally allowed for entertaining large group of people. The Society continues this tradition today by using the space for its monthly programs providing lectures with audience seating up to sixty. Also in the hall are eight 1844 lithographs, hand colored by the artist George Catlin, Wyoming Valley native and second cousin to the Society's benefactor. |
