The Parlor

The Parlor, which was traditionally used only for special occasions, is very ornate in design especially when compared to the simplicity of the den. The parlor is one of the rooms containing an Italian marble fireplace. Portraits of Scranton's city founders are in the parlor as well as many pieces of Victorian furniture, some of which were original not only to the Catlin House but the Archbald home where George Catlin lived before building this house.
