The spacious, formal living room is designed for special occasions. It features ornate woodwork, a fireplace fronted with Italian marble, Rococo and Empire furniture, and a unique Kashan rug. The oil painting above the fireplace is that of Mary Catlin’s mother, Sarah Augusta Templeton Frothingham Archbald.
